Good at using business, economics, psychology and other knowledge to analyze the value and prospects of projects. First published on the public account Beiming Boka Ecological Enthusiasts Original author: Beiming Laochu Arrangement & typesetting: linnana 01 Introduction to Solana Solana is a high-performance public chain that was founded at the end of 2017 by a group of technology experts from Qualcomm and Intel. It is committed to building an Internet-level blockchain network. The biggest advantage of Solana is its extremely high TPS. It uses POH to generate blocks in 0.4 seconds. The current TPS can reach 50,000+, and the ultimate goal is to achieve 1 million. 02 Can Solana break out? Affected by sol's counter-trend pull during this period and the surge in sol's ecology. Sol has attracted a lot of attention these days, but few people think it will explode as fast as BSC. Because the performance of the sol public chain is very good, behind it is the genius trader SB. I personally don't agree with this view, for two main reasons (to emphasize, I don't think sol has no potential, what I don't agree with is the rapid explosion like bsc) 1) The migration cost for the project side is too high.We know that one of the biggest innovations in this bull market is DEFI, and the originator of DEFI comes from ETH. The ecosystem of Ethereum has always been very complete, with many developers. Old developers are very familiar with it, and new developers have a lot of information and places to communicate. This greatly reduces technical problems and allows the project team to focus on the innovation part. So why can BSC rise rapidly? The most important reason is Binance’s strong execution and huge traffic. And there is a very important and easily overlooked premise, that is, a virtual machine compatible with Ethereum, which allows Ethereum projects to be migrated to BSC at a very low cost. Looking back at Solana, since Solana's mechanism is very different from Ethereum, if the project team wants to develop new projects on Solana, the learning cost and development cost are relatively high. The cost of migrating some of the original giants is also very high. This will greatly limit the rapid development of the project. 2) Number of usersThe number of users for a public chain is very large. Of course, in a bull market, a large number of people will be attracted because of the money-making effect. But if the threshold is high and learning is difficult, it will naturally block a large proportion of people. More importantly, if the number of users is small, most project parties will not migrate. The small number of projects limits the growth of the number of users. Therefore, I think it is impossible for Solana to copy the path of BSC and the rapid explosion of the current ecosystem. This reminds me of Mr. Liu Run's discussion. What can compete with Windows is definitely not Niudows with 10 times better performance, but a new generation of technology, ISO and Android representing the mobile Internet. So what is expected to compete with ISO and Android in the future is definitely not an IXO that is 10 times better, but the next generation technology, such as the system in the Internet of Things era - Hongmeng. 03 Solana’s development expectations Although Solana can't break out quickly. But the powerful TPS performance is more expensive than the transaction fee. Solana will gradually develop an ecology suitable for it and deserves long-term attention. 1) SOL is most suitable for blockchain technology application projects that require high concurrency, such as map applications and content platforms media. There will be many such projects in the future 2) Transaction and defi-related projects within the SOL ecosystem will also grow steadily with the development of the project. 04 Solana Ecology According to the SolanaProject website, there are a total of 81 projects on Solana. But I did some research and found that most of them are very small-scale and in the very early stages and still have a long way to go. I picked a few. The following ecology deserves attention: 1、Serum https://docs.projectserum.com/serum-ecosystem/built-on-serum-serum-academy#dex-guis Serum is a decentralized exchange native to Solana, and Solana built dex on it. Serum is a DeFi protocol launched by Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF), founder of FTX exchange. Sam Bankman-Fried has high visibility and potential in the industry. The current circulating market value of Serum (SRM) is US$480 million. However, it should be noted that SRM currently only has 2% of the chips in circulation. Pay attention to its unlocking situation. 2、Bonfida https://bonfida.com/ Bonfida is the front-end page of serum, and its trading experience is much better than that of serum. Serum has many front-end page projects, among which bonfida is the best. Bonfida also provides API services. Bonfida’s token is fida, which currently has a circulating market value of US$80 million. It should also be noted that fida is currently circulating only 3%, and there is still a large amount of chips that have not been released. 3、Raydium https://raydium.io/ Raydium is also Solana's decentralized exchange. In addition to order book-style transactions, the biggest feature of Raydium is that it has trading methods like UNI and AMM on cake, it already has a liquidity mining pool, and recently started the IDO function. Functionally, it is more like uniswap. The locked position on Raydium is now 700 million US dollars, the token RAY has a circulating market value of 500 million US dollars, and the circulation volume is 7%. 4、Solstarter https://solstarter.org/ Solstarter is the first IDO platform in the Solana ecosystem, providing decentralized financing channels for start-up projects. The project has not yet been launched, and the tokens have not been circulated. But it's worth paying attention to. 5、audius https://audius.co/ Audius is a music creation and sharing platform, an application project built on Solana, and stores content on filecoin. 6、maps.me https://maps.me/ It should be regarded as the largest application on Solana, with 140 million registered users and 60 million active users. Received US$50 million in seed round financing, led by Alameda Reasearch. The most important thing is to integrate defi applications on maps to bring ordinary users into the Solana ecosystem. 7、STEP https://step.finance/ a defi project 8、AKASH https://akash.network/ Decentralized computing power platform 9、CiVIC https://www.civic.com/ identity id application 10、Media Network https://media.network/ A decentralized content creation center. 05 References https://bihu.com/article/1305259303 https://bihu.com/article/1651445447 https://bihu.com/article/1967488206 Friends who think the article is good can click "Reading".
